Who is Krsna ? Krsna means All Attractive. Any person, having beauty, fame, richness, intelligence , renunciation and strength atracts people. Now if somebody posesses all these opluences in full , he ought to be All Attractive. And in the history till date only Lord Sri Krsna showed all these opluences in full proving himself to be the Lord of all.
5000 years ago , when Lord Sri Krishna was on this earth no one could match him in any respect in all of these opulences. Many Vedic historical records called the Puranas, the Mahabharata describe his unparalleled opulences and strength. He himself showed his Universal form to Arjuna, his friend and Devotee on Arjuna's request inorder to make it clear that He( Krsna ) is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Now some people would say since Arjuna was his friend he may accept him to be Supreme out of affection . But Arjuna states in the 10 th Chapter of Bhagavad gita that, ( B.G. 10.12 -10.13)
arjuna uvāca
paraḿ brahma paraḿ dhāma
pavitraḿ paramaḿ bhavān
puruṣaḿ śāśvataḿ divyam
ādi-devam ajaḿ vibhum
āhus tvām ṛṣayaḥ sarve
devarṣir nāradas tathā
asito devalo vyāsaḥ
svayaḿ caiva bravīṣi me
"Arjuna said: You are the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the ultimate abode, the purest, the Absolute Truth. You are the eternal, transcendental, original person, the unborn, the greatest. All the great sages such as Nārada, Asita, Devala and Vyāsa confirm this truth about You, and now You Yourself are declaring it to me."
Arjuna was aware that some people in the future may not accept his realization as truth or valid, so he gives reference of Sages and great personalities like, Narada, Asita, Devala and Vyasa , so as to establish that what he realizes is not a speculation but the Absolute truth. By these verses of Bhagavad Gita Arjuna clearly proved and left no room for doubt for any speculation regarding the identity of Lord Sri Krishna as the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
Hence Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead , but one may ask then who is Allah, or Christ , well as one person can be know with different names, similarly the Supreme Personality of Godhead has millions of names, each of them describing his transcendental quality.
Such is the Supreme Personality of Godhead Sir Krishna, who loves all and becomes available by his name to be with the most common person in this difficult Age of Kali. Srimad Bhagavatam states that the only way to realize God in this age is by Sri Hari Kirtan and the best form of Kirtan is chanting the holy names of the Lord
